Spring Summer-Flowers is a photographic and sculptural piece celebrating the reproductivity of rhododendron flowers. The print itself represents ALL flowers collected from one rhododendron shrub during the spring and summer seasons of 2021. The flowers, in various degrees of decay, were then arranged to form a shape of a vulva.
This temporal sculpture was photographed with super-high resolution before being reproduced as a double-layered tension fabric lightbox.
Measured at 167cm*78cm, the image reproduces the flowers in their life size.
The freestanding unit is completed with LED lights and an oak frame, with a finish size at 173cm*83cm*8.5cm.
