Yan's work has been published in an extensive feature 'My Best Shots' by the RPS Journal, February 2020 issue. The Journal was also the first ever UK magazine to publish Yan's work, in their May 2015 issue on Mother River. Over the years the RPS has continued to promote Yan in their publications and campaigns, including selecting her for the Hundred Heroines campaign in 2018 and inviting her to judge for their IPE 162 in 2019.
