On the 17th April 2019, Yan Wang Preston's series 'To the South of the Colourful Clouds' is awarded the 1st Prize for 2019 Sony World Photography Awards, category Professional Landscape. The series is part of Yan's long-term project 'Forest'. This year the Sony Awards received a record entry of more than 300,000 images from 195 countries worldwide. It is within this context that Yan's work was chosen by a group of prestigious judges to be one o the winning series. The exhition will be presented at the Somerset House, London from the 18th April to the 6th May before travelling around the world.
