Yan Wang Preston has just been awarded an AHRC IAA grant (Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Impact Acceleration Fund), with the support from the University of Huddersfield, to publish a book based on her joint exhibition with Monty Adkins Field Studies. The exhibition was the debut presentation of her two projects in their entities- With Love. From an Invader. and Autumn Winter Spring Summer - held between September and October 2023 at the Bath House Galleries in UOH. As stated in her proposal, Yan Wang Preston: With Love (working title) will be a beautiful book serving as a permanent showcase for With Love. From an Invader. and Autumn Winter Spring Summer. With essays from leading researchers and critics, the book will be a platform for the critical interpretation and contextualisation of the artworks. It will significantly extend the reach and accelerate the impacts of the artworks internationally in a transdisciplinary manner, promoting cultural inclusivity and creativity while helping species conservation co-created with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh who will be the Co-Creator of the book. The book is due to be released in 2025. Further updates will be published.
