It is revealed today that Yan Wang Preston's 'Forest' exhibition at Birkenhead Priory, Wirral, was visited by 7,709 people during its three-month run. This is a fantastic figure, given that fact that the Priory is magical but quite out of reach, being on the other side of the River Mersey from Liverpool. Many people made special trips from far away to see the show, while others targeted the special late openings to enjoy the light-boxes at their best. The show is a big success for the Wirral Council, the Open Eye Gallery, LOOK Photo Biennial 19 and Birkenhead Priory itself. Yan herself is also very pleased with the curation and every aspect of the show.
